Gurgaon is one of the major tourist attraction in India. Indira Gandhi International Airport is just 15 kilometres from the city center, which is only 15 minutes car drive and the city is well connected to the airport by the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway. Gurgaon is the sixth largest city in the Indian state of Haryana. Over the past 25 years the city has undergone rapid development and construction. A wave of multinational companies choose to locate their operations in Gurgaon after GE did so in 1997. Big companies like Airtel, American Express, EXL, IBM, Microsoft, DLF, Maruti Suzuki, Hero Honda, Infosys, Ericsson, Oracle, Bank of America, American Airlines, etc have made Gurgaon the call centre capital of India and an important financial center.

Shopping Malls
Industrial area of Gurgaon is replete with shopping malls. These malls cater to the needs of the growing middle-and-upper-class. There are over 40 malls in Gurgaon city. In March 2008, the state administration mandated that all malls and shopping centers should be closed one day per week in order to conserve electricity and help traffic flow. Consequently, all malls and shopping centers are closed on Tuesday.
DLF Golf & Country Club
DLF Golf & Country Club a 142 acre expanse is situated in the heart of DLF City in Gurgaon, Haryana, just 15 minutes away from the International Airport. Here in lies India’s premier world class designer golf course, with the rugged Aravali Range forming a dramatic backdrop. Today it enjoys the distinction of being adjudged the best course in the Sub-Continent & in India. This honor was bestowed on it at the Asian Golf Monthly award ceremony held in Singapore on 15th of November, 2007, & again in 2008 at Shenzhen, China.
Sultanpur Lake and Bird Sanctuary
The winter months from November-March offers an excellent opportunity for the school groups, corporate houses, family groups and individuals to visit this renowned bird sanctuary and enjoy the week end in the lap of nature. The shallow lake and scrubby woodland is an ideal get away.
This park was established in 1972 and upgraded to a National Park in 1991. Located just 50 kms from Delhi, on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, in the Gurgaon district of Haryana State. This reserve for the winged visitors has both winter and summer migratory birds like Siberian cranes, demoiselle cranes, ruddy shel duck, rosy pelican, mallard, pochard, teals, black winged stlit, greenshank, yellow and white wagtail, wood and spotted sandpiper northern pintail, long billed pipit, parakeets and many more. Other wild life includes black buck, hog deer; stripped hyena; antelopes and money.
Inside the park, Haryana Tourism runs a tourist complex that has air-conditioned as well as general rooms. The facilities available there include bar, restaurant, and cottages for the guests. One can also stay in any of the large number of hotels at Delhi or Gurgaon and go to Sultanpur for a weakened or day trip.
Sultanpur Lake is the point around which the Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary has been developed. The lake is a picnic spot for the residents of Delhi and boating facilities are also available here. The lake has a good number of reptiles and it attracts a lot of migratory birds during winters.
The Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is home to a large range of birds, both resident and migratory. Migratory geese and Siberian cranes spend the winter in Sultanpur and there are also the demoiselle cranes, ruddy shelducks, pelicans, flamingoes, bar-headed geese, grey lags, gadwalls, mallards, pochards, shovellers and teals. Local species include plovers, red-wattled lapwings, herons, cormorants, white ibises, spoonbills and painted storks.Other wildlife in the park include blackbuck, nilgai, hog deer, sambar, wild dog or dhole, caracal, wild cat, hedgehog, mongoose, striped hyena, Indian porcupine, rattle/honey badger, leopard, wild pig, and four horned antelope.
Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is haunt of the birdman Late Dr. Salim Ali: And, innumerable bird watchers who come in to observe bird antics. There are hide outs, watch towers and a museum of sorts for those keen on serious study.
It's not just the nip in the air after sunset that is signalling the arrival of winter. After several years, Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary wears a busy look once more with the arrival of 5,000 migratory birds of various types. This number is expected to increase considerably by the end of the season. The flow of migratory birds to the sanctuary had dwindled drastically in the last few years as the lake had dried up.
Shri Mata Sheetla Devi
One of the major Hindu pilgrimage is the Shri Sheetla Devi Temple located near a pond at Gurgaon village, a suburb of Guru Dronacharya's birth place, in the state of Haryana. The temple is thronged by devotees in large numbers throughout the year. Also referred to as a 'Shakti Peeth', the presiding deity of this temple is Shri Mata Sheetla Devi.
Sohna Sulphur Springs and Tourist Complex
The tiny town with pretty name, Sohna is credited with sulphur springs. This is situated in the heart of the town by the side of a perpendicular rock and is approachable only on foot through small narrow lanes where vehicles can not pass. The water is strongly sulphurate and its temperature varies from 46° C to 51.7C. ° The present site of main kund, called Shiv Kund, is believed to have been the ancient abode of hermits. The hot water is believed to have curative effect on skin infections and diseases like gout and rheumatism. Hindus consider the tank sacred and come for a dip in its water on solar/lunar eclipse and Somavati Amavasya. The complex is studded with an extravagance of colour-ful flowers, trees and shrubs. Its vast landscape with peacocks strutting about grips one with all its beauty and splendor. Sohna by night becomes a wonderland of lights, simply bewitching.
Ujina
It lies 10 km east of Nuh on Nuh Hodal Road. The village is known for its lake. The mound has yielded Painted Grey Ware and early historic wares. The stone sculptures located at the site represent Varaha and Nrsimha of medieval period, and Lakshmi of late medieval period.
